The following study was conducted by the Beijing Guoyi Biomedicine Application Technology Research Institute in October, 1997.
Observation of Morphology of Main Visceral Organs for Chronic Toxicity Study on Big Mice
The purpose of this study was to determine the chronic toxicity of the test substance (Liver No. 1™), if any. The morphology of main visceral organs (brain, liver, heart, kidney, small intestine, and ovary/testicle) of big mice were observed and tested for any impact from the test substance.

Brain:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group, which are both normal in structure and clear in gradation of various cortical cells, there are no degeneration and necrosis of cell, with no thrombus and hemorrhage found.
Liver:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group with neat and complete in structure of hepatic lobule, and normal in hepatocyte cord and normal in hepatocyte. There are no retrogression and necrosis with cells.
Heart:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group with normal in myocardial fiber. There is no degeneration and necrosis.
Kidney:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group, which are both normal in kidney unit structure. There are no degeneration in glomerulus, and no effusion in Borman, with complete kidney tubules.
Small Intestine:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group with complete mucosa and normal in structure, neat in villi. Normal lymphocyte can be found beneath mucosa.
Ovary:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group with normal structure, normally developed ovarian follicles, and corpus luteum. No abnormal pathological found.
Testicle:
Experiment group (large dosage group) shows the same condition as the comparison group with normal sperm duct, healthy sperm blast cells in development, with more sperms in tubular cavity. No abnormal cells are found.
